Many attorneys will speak to you briefly for free

Many people do not reach out to attorneys because they are concerned about costs or they are too shy to contact a lawyer. Most attorneys will speak to a client on the phone briefly for free. Even if it is not financially feasible to hire an attorney, many lawyers are happy to give some general advice to guide the client in the right direction.

I have received many calls from clients who have received traffic tickets, been sued for a debt, were uninsured for a motor vehicle accident, have a consumer issues, and a host of other legal problems. In some cases, it makes sense for them to hire me. In other cases, I am able to give some general guidance in how best for them to proceed with their legal issues which can make a big difference in the ultimate outcome.

On the other hand, I have been contacted clients after the fact where they were unhappy with the outcome of their case. By that point, there may be very little that I can do to help them if a judgment or conviction was rendered. I often wish they had come to me earlier.

So, reach out to a lawyer if you have a question. Many of us are happy to help.
