Blood Alcohol Chart: Avoiding a DUI

This Chart Determines How Much You Can Drink Before You Are Impaired

The chart to the left depicts the amount of alcohol you can drink based upon your gender and weight. It is an average and alcohol may affect you differently than other people. This chart is required to be posted in all drinking establishments in the State of West Virginia.

So, if you are a 120 pound female, you will already be at .08, the Maryland legal limit, after two drinks. You can be charged with driving under the influence. In fact, a blood alcohol concentration of less than .08 can still get you charged and convicted of DUI or the lesser offense of driving while impaired.

It is better to take an Uber of Lyft or to use a designated driver. Nonetheless, the chart is helpful as a general guide.
